After working as a teacher in the public school system for three years, Keith
Prather began his career in the financial services industry in 1987 working as
a financial representative. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a
BS degree in Education and holds a Series 6 securities license. In addition, Keith
has earned his Certification in Long-Term Care designation (CLTC).

The focus of Keith’s practice is to provide individualized advice to clients for
their retirement and other investment needs. He currently works with individual
investors, small businesses, as well as employees of Washington and Frederick
County School Systems and local nonprofit organizations. Keith is committed to
providing ongoing financial education to help his clients feel more confident in
securing their financial futures. He assists them in formulating their financial goals
and provides the services and products necessary to help achieve those goals.

Keith’s aspiration is to become a lifetime resource for each and every one of his

Keith has lived in the Frederick area since 1981. He and his wife Michelle, have six
children and enjoy taking cruises together. In his spare time he loves spending
time with his children and grandchildren, woodworking and playing racquetball.
Keith is also passionate about volunteering and the great experiences that come
from giving back to the community, such as, when he served as both PTSA
and band booster president. He has a deep passion for the military and their
families and enjoys putting a smile on their faces. He has been Santa Claus for
several military events over the last seven years, as well as for numerous other
community events.
