Keith Prather

FINANCIAL PROFESSIONAL

Keith Prather brings a perspective to financial strategies that few financial advisors can offer: he spent three years teaching in the public school system before beginning his financial services career in 1987. That background shapes how he works with clients today, with a focus on clear communication, ongoing education, and building relationships that last.

A graduate of the University of Maryland with a BS in Education, Keith holds FINRA Series 6, Series 63, and Series 65 securities licenses and has earned the Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC) designation.

Keith's practice centers on individualized retirement and investment planning. He works with individual investors, small business owners, and employees of the Washington and Frederick County school systems, as well as local nonprofit organizations. His goal is to help clients define their financial objectives and put the right strategies and resources in place to pursue them with confidence.

His aspiration is simple: to become a lifetime resource for each client and their family.

Keith provides guidance across a range of planning needs:

● 403(b) and 457(b) plans

● Pension analysis for school system employees

● Retirement planning

● College planning

● Mutual funds

● Annuities

● IRA and Roth IRA investments

● 401(k), 403(b), and 457(b) rollovers

● Long-term care planning

● Life insurance

Keith has lived in the Frederick area since 1981. He and his wife Michelle have six children and share a love of cruising. Outside of work, Keith enjoys time with his children and grandchildren, woodworking, playing games and reading.

He is deeply committed to giving back. Keith has served as both a PTSA president and band booster president, and for the past several years has played Santa Claus at military events and community gatherings. His passion for supporting military families and the joy it brings them is something he carries well beyond the holiday season.
